New Holland offers a complete selection of direct-cut heads, providing you with the versatility to match your crops and your operational needs. High-capacity rigid and flex heads deliver fast, clean cutting in tough field conditions, as well as reliable feeding, even in the heaviest crop conditions.
720CG High-Capacity grain headers are perfect for small- to medium-sized operations, or those who work in smaller fields. These traditional headers are easy to use and are ideal for operations which predominately harvest the same types of crop, such as wheat, oat and barley. A high-capacity header is also ideal for harvesting rice. With their tried and tested robust cutterbar table, they offer unsurpassed reliability.
LARGE FEEDING AREA
The knife position makes the High-Capacity header perfect for long and short straw crops. Why? It creates an optimized feeding area from which the auger directs the crop to the center of the header.
SHORT OR LONG. THE CHOICE IS YOURS.
You can specify your exact divider needs based on your field requirements. • Short dividers closely follow ground contours for uniform stubble height. • Long dividers are perfect when working in matted crops such as oats, as they penetrate further to prevent productivity impacting snagging.
REGULATE REEL SPEED
Hydraulic reel drive ensures constant reel speed while providing the ability to fine tune reel speed when working in different crops. The result: more efficient harvesting that is gentle on the crop while maintaining productivity.
EFFICIENT HEADER COUPLING
During tight harvesting windows, every second counts when it comes to bringing the crop home. That is why all High-Capacity headers benefit from quick coupling technology. All hydraulic lines are attached using a dedicated cradle which snaps into place with one handle. Making harvesting easier. Must be New Holland.
If you harvest in undulating terrain, the 740CF direct-cut SuperFlex™ auger head is the natural choice. Available in cutting widths of 25, 30, and 35 feet, 740CF heads feature a patented, rubber spring flotation system that allows heads to follow ground contours more closely so you get every bit of your crop. The SuperFlex knife bed flexes a full 4.5 inches to ensure a close cut and uniform stubble height in uneven fields.
EFFECTIVE FROM THE VERY START
The effectiveness of 740CF heads starts at the very front with crop dividers that present the most down and tangled crop to the six-bat reel, which smoothly conveys crop to the cutterbar and auger. When combined with 1150 cuts per minute and the cab-based, hydraulic, fore-and-aft reel adjustment, precise feeding and processing are a given. You can even maintain a pre-set ratio between reel speed and ground speed, so that when ground speed changes, feeding remains consistent.
CLOSE CUTTING
The cutterbar floor profile includes an integral hump that stops rocks from entering the cutterbar, while also preventing beans from rolling off the front. A shorter skid shoe design reduces weight and allows the cutterbar to cut closer to the ground for even better cutterbar flexing. The header height control system makes use of either four-sensor or two-sensor combine systems. The cutterbar uses standard three-inch guards and overserrated knife sections with 10 teeth per inch for clean cutting.
EASY FLOTATION ADJUSTMENT
You can manually adjust the rubber torsion springs on each floor support to adjust the flotation or to compensate for any unevenness in the cutterbar. Hydraulic cutterbar flotation adjustment is available as a dealer-installed accessory to allow you to make adjustments right from the combine cab.
SMOOTH FEEDING
A 26-inch-diameter auger with deep, five-inch flighting handles heavy crop and feeds it smoothly into the combine. A five-degree flatter auger floor angle enhances crop flow. Adjusting the auger up, down, fore and aft has been simplified. And, a new, patented rubber retention system prevents broken auger fingers from entering the combine.
For optimum harvest quality and a uniform cut in different crop heights, including tall, bushy, direct-cut canola, the Varifeed™ grain head is your perfect partner. The 30, 35, and 41 Ft. models allow you to harvest at high field speeds to make full use of the high capacity of New Holland combines.
EFFORTLESS, ON-THE-GO KNIFE ADJUSTMENT
You can adjust knife position a full 23 inches fore and aft so you can regulate the flow of crop right from the cab for ideal feeding. With the varying distance between knife and intake auger, the header reel plays a more important role in crop guidance and crop feeding. You can also adjust the reel electro-hydraulically in all directions from the cab for smooth, continuous feeding. If you direct-cut canola, Varifeed™ heads are ideal since the 23 inches of floor travel allow ample room for the bushy canola crop. The header floor remains closed in all knife positions, without the need for filler plates or drive belt changes.
FULLY INTEGRATED SIDE KNIVES
Optional 18-teeth vertical side knives are ideal to direct cut canola or other bushy crops. They slice through matted crops and are controlled through the IntelliView™ IV color touch-screen monitor. When not required, they can be stored on the header itself.
LARGE-DIAMETER AUGER
The 26-inch-diameter auger with deep flights provides fast, smooth feeding even in the heaviest crops. Full-width retracting fingers between each auger flight move crop down and under the auger.
BUILT-IN DURABILITY
Rugged frame construction and heavy-duty features like the high-speed knife drive, the extended reach of the reel tines and hydraulic reel drive help assure reliable cutting, ample torque and feeding capacity in heavy crops.
